Kling & Freitag is the advertised leading brand in the Theme Park of the World Exhibition Expo 2000 in Hannover.
New distribution partners in China, Singapore and South Korea. Participation at trade fairs in Beijing, Seoul and Singapore. Expansion and renovation of the company premises. Kling & Freitag loudspeaker systems have become a standard at many main trade fairs. Especially at stands of leading German automobile manufacturers at home and abroad (VW - IAA Frankfurt; BMW and Mercedes - Detroit Motor Show).
New distributors in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, the UK and Spain. In just 5 months, Kling & Freitag completes three large stadium projects in China, Spain and Germany. New, larger exhibition stand is presented at Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt.
Kling & Freitag equips two further sports stadiums. Here, Line 212, which was launched in 2002, and which has also been available as a 90° version since the Frankfurt Trade Fair in 2003, proves itself as a key product. New distributors in Taiwan and Finland.
SP versions of the successful Line 212 and the completely revised double 15” subwoofer SW 215E are presented at Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt. The new CA 1001 is presented at the 23rd Tonmeistertagung at the 110 square metre K&F stand with show truck. New distributors in Turkey, Australia and Belgium.
Release of the new 15” subwoofer SW 115E, the SP version and the CA 1001 as a self-powered version. K&F delivers loudspeaker systems for a large number of international theatre and opera house projects. Among them are 203 custom-built loudspeaker systems for the open air opera stage in Bregenz, Lake Constance. K&F successfully breaks into the Canadian and USA markets.
Kling & Freitag thanks the main initiator Michael Mandel (Neumann & Müller) for the CA 106 development and presents a gold-coated, special edition of the CA 106 during Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt. Professor Ing. Wolfgang Fritz (Vienna State Opera) is presented with the OPUS “German Stage Award 2006” for outstanding sound design for the project Bregenz Open Acoustics Wave Field Synthesis (BOA), in which more than 800 K&F loudspeakers are installed.
Market launch of the digital system controller K&F CD 44 and K&F CD 24. The ‘Installation’ option is introduced for the passive models CA 1201, CA 1215, CA 1515 and Line 212. Another stadium project is completed in China (Shenyang Olympic Sports Center). The “SINUS Systems Integration Award” for the field of entertainment goes to trading partner Audio Werft in Hildesheim. The line array system K&F SEQUENZA 10 and the small PA box K&F SONA 5 are presented to the public for the first time at Prolight + Sound. The K&F SystemRack established as the standard for operating K&F systems in the ProRental field. The simulation software K&F CON:SEQUENZA is released. The first year with new K&F system partners in the German market was a success. K&F SEQUENZA 10 used at international live events, such as the Varese Road Cycling World Championships in Italy and at Olympic Green - the central venue for athletes and officials of the Olympic Games 2008 in Beijing.After having given up his position as managing director in 2005, Martin Kling withdraws entirely from the company. Jürgen Freitag then becomes the sole owner and sole managing director of Kling & Freitag GmbH.
K&F SEQUENZA 10 subwoofers are presented at Prolight + Sound. The K&F product catalogue and website are revamped. K&F SEQUENZA 10 is used at various events, such as Wacken Open Air, the ELO tour in England, Meersburg Open Air and GOA Festival in Switzerland. Kling & Freitag appoints a new distributor in South Korea.
The cardioid subwoofer NOMOS XLC and stage monitor SCENA 15 are added as new products to the ‘ProRental’ area. The ‘InstallSound’ area is expanded by the SONA SUB. Appointment of new distributors in Luxembourg, Turkey and Nigeria. ‘Shanghai MYC’ shall be appointed in the future as a new distributor for China. The internationally known monitor specialist Horst Hartmann (PINK, Sade and others) puts the SCENA 15 to the test at events with the band ‘Juli’. In a shoot-out, the international planning office Müller BBM opts for the SONA 5. Furthermore, the SONA 5 is specified for the room acoustics system VIVACE, which provides the appropriate reverberation in concert halls and opera houses.
The new products GRAVIS 12 N/W, NOMOS LS and PASSIO with VariPoint mounting are presented at Prolight + Sound. New distributors in Taiwan and Finland. The Chinese, exclusive distributor Shanghai MYC exhibits at Palm, Beijing. PASSIO and GRAVIS are tested by trade publications and are commended with top marks for design, production quality and sound characteristics. First “intensive training on the SEQUENZA 10 system operator” from the K&F ACADEMY - additional sessions follow - including internationally.
K&F PASSIO is awarded with the ‘Focus in Silver’ for excellent design. The ‘Max-Schmeling Hall’ in Berlin and the temporary venues of the Cologne Opera are fitted with SEQUENZA 10 systems. Further international references are added - “Theater Akzent” in Vienna and “Moscow Conservatory” in Moscow. A new distributor in Israel.
K&F SEQUENZA 5 is presented at Prolight + Sound. The SONA 6, SONA 8 and SONA SUB II are presented in the product area ‘InstallSound’. The simulation software K&F CON:SEQUENZA+ is released.
The GRAVIS series is expanded by GRAVIS 8 and GRAVIS 15. With NOMOS LS II, NOMOS LT, NOMOS XLS and NOMOS XLT, the NOMOS series is expanded by four new high-performance subwoofers. K&F PASSIO wins the GERMAN DESIGN AWARD ‘Special Mention 2014’. The HDI Arena, which is now North Germany’s third football arena, is equipped with a modern K&F sound system.
The PASSIO series is expanded with the new subwoofers PASSIO SUB 12 and 15. Five new K&F SystemAmps are exhibited at Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt as successors to the TOPAS and SystemRack. As part of the SPL (SneakPreListening), the innovation-fostering project VIDA is presented in the historical environment of the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen in Hanover. Almost at the same time, the VIDA L with the cardioid module VIDA C makes its debut in China. In addition, more prestigious projects succeed at the highest level. In the Harbin Grand Theatre in China, for example, and in the famous Hamilton Theater in Canada, each with SEQUENZA 10, NOMOS subwoofers and the K&F SystemAmps of the PLM+ series, which are integrated into the DANTE network. In the new premium cinema complex, the ASTOR Grand Cinema in Hanover, the K&F SEQUENZA 5 line arrays, NOMOS subwoofer arrays and K&F D series SystemAmps are used impressively in combination with the Dolby Atmos technology. Furthermore, a very special cinema project is completed in which the wave field synthesis, which was developed for the market by Fraunhofer IDMT, and Kling & Freitag systems are proven again as ideal partners.
