Presentation of the new K&F SEQUENZA 5

At the prolight + sound which is taking place on April 10 to 13 in Frankfurt the new K&F SEQUENZA 5 is presented for the first time to the public. The compact line array system is the “little sister” of the well-known SEQUENZA 10 – and the next big strike of the manufacturer Kling & Freitag from Hannover.

Not only the patented rigging system ’Snap&Fly’ permitting to fly SEQUENZA 10 within a very short time has been refined and improved for its application to a small line array. The flightcase which is only available by Kling & Freitag permits three different ways of installing and uninstalling. Uninstalling is done within a few minutes, so quitting time is near!

SEQUENZA 5 has also been acoustically designed for interaction with SEQUENZA 10. The downfill adapter allows for positioning up to 3 units under the SEQUENZA 10. The system is equipped with 4 x 5“ and 3 x 1“ Neodym drivers and it is controlled by a passive 1-way control, showing surprising “full range” properties. Up to 4 elements may be operated on one channel of the K&F SystemRack (for installations on one TOPAS channel). The SEQUENZA 5 B fly bass has been designed in compliance with the 100° x 15° coverage of SEQUENZA 5 W. This 1 x 12“ subwoofer is the perfect complement, completing the required low frequency performance within the sound system for live and high level applications.

Numerous refinements were resulting from an extensive beta-test stage, and repeatedly selected users could experience the characteristics of the new system. SEQUENZA 5 is a compact and innovating line array which may be perfectly employed within mobile live applications and in installations, flying or in the ground stack. The integrated side and back surfaces of the fly system are discreetly hidden, procuring a very elegant aspect to the whole system.

The department “InstallSound” has been extended consistently by the new products SONA 6, SONA 8 and SONA Sub II. The new wood enclosures with the SONA 5 design are equipped on the back side with a robust ball joint fastening. The flush Speakon- and Phoenix-ports are elegantly hidden by a cover plate. The subwoofer SONA Sub II serves as bass complement and may be operated also as 2-channel, due to 2 acoustically separate 8“ chassis. Optionally the models SONA Sub and SONA Sub II are available with passive crossover, permitting cost-saving applications without additional amplifier electronics.

You can experience the speed of the new SEQUENZA 5 and the elegance of the new SONA range at the Kling&Freitag booth n° F40 in Hall 8.0. We are looking forward to your visit!
